Sofia holds a Master’s in Molecular Genetics and has extensive experience in molecular biology, lab management, and protocol optimization. Before joining expressTEC, she worked as a Research Technician at the University of Oxford in collaboration with CIBIO-InBIO, contributing to large-scale genomics projects and setting up an ancient DNA lab. Her background also includes experience in molecular biology, metagenomics research, and DNA detection for nano chips through work at INL (International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory), the University of Minho, and University College Cork.
At expressTEC, she is responsible for establishing and managing our clinical laboratory, optimizing workflows, and supporting the development of IVD solutions for personalized cancer therapy.
